Inhibition of SARS-CoV 3CL protease by flavonoids
The authors are explaining the antiviral activity of flavonoids againtst the enzyme 3CLpro form SARS-CoV. These flavonoids are herbecetin, rhoifolin and pectolinarin. These falvonoids are efficiently blocking this enzyme crucial for the replication process of Cronovirus. Theitors. interaction of these flavonoids with SARS-CoV 3CLpro was confirmed by a fluorescence method. The authors suggests that these flavonoids could be a template to design SARS-CoV 3CLpro inhibitors.
